| Frequently Asked Questions Q: How are my hours reported to the state? Effective September 1, 2001, we, as providers of continuing education, are required to electronically submit to the State the names, license numbers, courses taken and the dates of attendance of all contractors who attend continuing education classes. This information must be transmitted within thirty (30) business days of satisfactory completion of the class. Q: What does this mean and how will it affect me? All providers of C.E. are required to upload a database of class participants within thirty (30) business days to DBPR’s website. Contractors who fail to meet the C.E. requirements will not be allowed to renew their licenses. Q: What is the deadline for my C.E. hours? The deadline for certified contractors to complete their continuing education and renew their license(s) is August 31, 2008; for registered contractors to complete their continuing education and renew their license(s) is August 31, 2009.
